11.11.2010 - Yearly Report 2009-2010 is now published

Virtual Blue1 celebrates one year of successful operations. Since November 2009, we have logged over 1800 flight hours from 900 flights and undergone a number of major changes. We have also realised many improvements to our web site and pilot services. Read more in our 2009-2010 yearly report which is published on our forum.

06.11.2010 - Our First Captain is Geoff Cooper

Geoff Cooper has been promoted to captain. Geoff is our company\'s first captain. Virtual Blue1 congratulates Geoff about fine achievement.

Virtual Blue1\'s captains are distinguished pilots, which has a rich experience in flight simulator. They have accumulated at least 500 flight hours. At the present, our company has one captain.

06.11.2010 - Monthly Report: October 2010

We held our third pilot recruiting of this year in Ocotober. The first time in our history all 20 spots were filled. In October total of 198 flights were operated with over 362 flight hours.

Several new pilots have already completed their basic training course which indicates a clear increase in interest in our virtual company. In November, current month we celebrate our first year on virtual skies and also fly a lot of flights online 13th November when we have our official IVAO event, Real Operations Day.

09.10.2010 - Changes in our fleet

Virtual Blue1 has received its third Boeing 717-200 aircraft, reg. OH-BLG, painted in Blue Flow scheme. At the same time second McDonnell Douglas MD-90-30 -type aircraft, OH-BLC has left for a new life in America. OH-BLC will continue in Delta Air Lines service.

The first Avro RJ85 has also left our fleet - OH-SAQ\'s leasing agreement has now expired.

02.10.2010 - Pilot application closed

The pilot application is now closed. 20 new pilots were recruited. New application will be held after all new pilots have completed their training.

02.10.2010 - Monthly Report: September 2010

Virtual Blue1\\\'s fall has gone with active marks. 104 flights were flown with 196 flight hours. In September, we broke again operated flights at month record The previous record was made in July 2010.

Our pilot recruiting is currently open. Plenty of new pilots have already sent their applications and soon they will start our basic training programme. We have updated nearly all the materials for the new pilots during long dark autumn evenings.

Our fleet has grown by two Boeing 717-200 aircraft. By contrast, first McDonnell Douglas MD-90-30 (OH-BLU) has left the day before yesterday to America and Delta Air Lines fleet.

Virtual Blue1 Pilot Recruiting is now open. The application form can be found on the Pilot Recruiting pages and the recruitment will remain open for the whole weekend.

14.09.2010 - Virtual Blue1 Opens Public Webpages in English

Today we opened the English version of the public site. In the next few months we will be transtaling the entire site, starting with the Pilot's Area and later all the training materials.

Our intention is to keep Finnish as the default language for all of our activities, but we hope that the English site can attract more non-Finnish pilots to our company.

04.09.2010 - Monthly Report: August 2010

In August 2010 Virtual Blue1 operated actively once again. Only just falling below the record set in July, we logged 73 flights and around 160 hours in total.

Virtual Blue1 heads into this Autumn with a new aircraft type in the fleet and the promise of fresh adventures. The next pilot recruiting is also fast approaching so all enthusiastic applicants, get ready!

03.09.2010 - Next Pilot Recruiting on Friday 01.10 at 15:00 (Finnish local time)

Virtual Blue1 will open the next pilot recruiting on Friday 01.10 at 15:00 Finnish time (12:00 UTC).

The pilot recruiting page can be found on our main site. All applicants should take the time to read the instructions carefully before submitting their application. The recruitment will close at the end of the weekend and we will inform the successful applicants by email.
